Curry Real Estate Services recently announced the promotion of Michael Long, CPM®, to senior vice president of residential operations. In his new role, he is responsible for directing residential property operations for Curry’s portfolio of multifamily assets, delivering financial results that are consistent with the company’s goals and overseeing property management, leasing and maintenance teams.

“Michael has been a vital part of Curry’s success for the last 23 years and we are excited to promote him to this important position,” said Ellen Todd, president of Curry Real Estate Services. “Mike’s dedication to his community and his profession is second to none and we couldn’t be happier that he is part of the Curry family.”

Long, a licensed REALTOR® in both Missouri and Kansas, joined Curry in 1995 as a property manager and quickly rose to assistant vice president and later vice president before accepting the role of senior vice president.  He earned the designation of certified property manager (CPM) from the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) in 2002 and served as president of the Kansas City chapter of IREM in 2014. Currently, he serves as a board member of Edison Credit Union and as a life group leader at Lee’s Summit Community Church, a volunteer position in which he mentors church youth.

Long earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with distinction in 1992 from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and a Master of Science in Real Estate from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1994. He lives in Lee’s Summit with his wife, Kristina, and sons, Aaron and Andrew.
