Nancy Miller Joins the Curry Team

It was an excellent teacher and an aptitude for numbers that led Nancy Miller into the accounting field. “I took an accounting class in high school and loved the teacher,” said Miller, Curry Real Estate Services’ new accounting manager. “Having such a good teacher helped me fall in love with accounting. And, I was good at math. I’ve always liked that it provides several ways to get to the same answer so you can be sure you’re right!”

After college, which she attended on a softball scholarship, Miller started her career with a company that manages pharmacies all over the country, taking on roles of increasing responsibility until she ultimately served as accounting manager. She came to Curry after more than a dozen years at a property management and development company looking for work/life balance and where her experience in accounting in the real estate sector would be a good fit.

“Oh, I was so impressed with everyone I interviewed with,” said Miller. “On the Zoom interview and later in person, where we social distanced, everyone was so professional yet warm and friendly. You could tell they had a lot of respect for each other. It was all very inviting and made me realize this is the place I want to be.”

When not at work, Miller said she enjoys the outdoors. She and her boyfriend of seven years have eight kids and three grandkids between them. She says growing up in a family of five girls prepared her for the present chaos. Orderly at work, chaotic at home. Now that is a work/life balance.
