Curry Welcomes Nicole Moore as a New Regional Property Manager

by Suzanne Licata

Nicole Moore was working in the hospitality business in Dallas when a friend who worked as a property manager told her this work might be right up her alley.

“I returned to Kansas City after I had my first son and got into real estate in 2012,” Moore said. “I have been in love with the business ever since.”

An Overland Park, Kansas native, Moore joined Curry Real Estate Services in March 2024 as Regional Property Manager. “While the business model is similar to the organization I previously worked with, I am really enjoying how close knit all the Curry employees are,” she said. “We are always doing things together, either internally or out in the community.”

She started as a leasing agent and worked her way up through the business. Moore said a key to successful property management is having the right personality. “You have to have patience, be thick-skinned as well as friendly with a never-met-a-stranger spirit,” she said. “Those are the main things.”

Moore has all that, plus her coworkers have seen in her the quiet confidence that she can handle the variety of things that come into the daily life of a Regional Property Manager.

“I love the change that is built into this profession,” Moore said. “The market is always changing. You get to meet people from all walks of life. You see all the differences people bring to the way they live.”

In her home life, Moore has two boys aged 10 and 13 months and just recently got engaged. She wants to have a destination wedding. When not planning for that, she says she loves cooking, especially soul food, and is a bit of a shopaholic. “It doesn’t even have to be for me,” she added. “I love shopping!”

Moore brings to her own home what she does for Curry’s residents. “We work hard to bring attention to the details that matter to you and to beautifully maintain where you live and do all the other things that create a welcoming, comfortable home environment.”
