NNI Formally dedicated the new Raymond R. Brock Jr. Hall in honor of Curry’s Chairman Emeritus

by Suzanne Licata

Northland Neighborhoods Inc. (NNI) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to neighborhood improvement and revitalization in Clay and Platte counties. Working with residents and organizations to find resources and solutions for better housing, better neighborhoods and better communities.

Curry Real Estate Services has been located in Clay County for over 40 years and has always been an advocate for the same initiatives as NNI. Curry has contributed to the growth of numerous developments in the Northland, specifically along the Antioch Road corridor. The increase in retail, office, housing and employment opportunities all came along with Curry’s focus on the area. In 1956, Curry, with Ray Brock’s involvement, brought Antioch Shopping Center as the first mall North of the River. Although the mall was sold and transitioned to new commercial and residential structures, the location still represents the Shopping Center it once was. Recently NNI relocated their office to the lower level of the former Antioch Mall location in the Northland. The new office includes a large hall built to provide a space where advocates can meet and encourage all the core desires of NNI and Curry.

On June 22, 2021, NNI formally dedicated the new Raymond R. Brock Jr. Hall in honor of Curry’s Chairman Emeritus, whom was one of the original advocates of the area.

Ray Brock, Curry and NNI, continue to work together to make an impact for better housing, better neighborhoods and better communities.
