Last fall, Synergy Services opened Forest Hill Village, an 18-unit apartment and the organization’s newest housing community developed to help people move from crisis to stability with a safe place to live and with support built in. It advances something Synergy has always done well: meeting the immediate needs of people in crisis so they can be helped to prepare for a better life ahead.

Synergy Services programs support youth, adults, and entire families and include crisis intervention, emergency shelter and housing services. They also include counseling, advocacy, case management and prevention education so individuals are given more than a temporary solution – they’re given a plan, a team, and real support.

When community members do not have a safe place to call home, Synergy knows that circumstances in the household beyond one’s control can be the root cause – abuse, alcohol or drugs, mental health, poverty or violence. In 2025 alone, Synergy served 40,000 people.

Synergy’s mission is to help people find safety, heal from trauma, and build a path forward. That work takes experience, consistency, and community support. Curry Real Estate Services is proud to be among those in the community that have participated in helping out over the years. For us that has meant board service, fundraising, and a variety of service projects.

In December the whole Curry team spent the day at Synergy helping them prepare for the holidays. We wrapped gifts for families, packed snack bags, helped organize supplies and built bookshelves. It was a simple way to help – a joy to do even these small things for people going through hard seasons.
