Our Story

Ranked year after year among the top commercial and multi-family real estate companies, Curry Real Estate Services brings its high standard of excellence with integrity to every phase of its business.

Sought after for its exceptional performance in brokerage and property management, Curry works with a number of commercial and multi-family assets for their clients. The company also has its own multi-million-dollar portfolio of commercial and multi-family properties located throughout the greater metropolitan area including Kansas City, Leavenworth, Overland Park, and Shawnee in Kansas; Gladstone, Kansas City, Kearney, Liberty, Pleasant Valley, and Riverside in Missouri.

Curry has endured if not thrived through every economic cycle for over 100 years. While there are many measures of success, Curry values one above all others – relationships. The result is a professional team passionate for service to residents, tenants and owners; one that understands property investors and their aspirations in ownership; and who is invested in the community and the shared vision to rise together. All of that is deeply rooted in what has resulted in multiple generations of family-owned businesses.

That tradition started in 1924 with Charles F. Curry, who founded the real estate company and was later joined by his son, Charles E. Curry. In 1954, Raymond R. Brock, Jr., joined the company and, in 1980, led the acquisition of the company’s real estate assets. Those assets were then managed, nurtured and grown through the next generation under his daughter Ellen Todd, who became President in 2000, taking over leadership of a team of long-time executives who lived out the company’s people-first standard.

In 2026, the company once again demonstrated its commitment to long-term stewardship when Todd transferred ownership of Curry Real Estate Services and a majority of its real estate interests to a family partnership led by Matt Pepper, who had joined the company leadership in 2022. Today, Matt leads the ownership group alongside his brother, Ben. Much like the Curry family’s transition of leadership to Ray Brock in 1980, this succession preserves the company’s legacy of local ownership while positioning Curry for continued growth. The next generation remains committed to the values of integrity, professionalism, community engagement and exceptional client service that have defined Curry Real Estate Services for more than 100 years.
