Improvements Underway at Curry Real Estate Properties

by Suzanne Licata

Curry Real Estate Services is always investing in its properties. It just makes sense as doing so not only enhances the quality of home and work life for our residents and commercial tenants, but it is an essential component to continuously maintaining these assets at our high standard.

A new parking lot is the latest improvement at Briarside, a nearly 10,000-square-foot development in Riverside centrally located across from city hall, a police station, fire station and community center. The largest tenant, at more than 8,500 square feet, is Swope Health Northland. It offers Patient Centered Medical Home, a medical setting where a team of health professionals work in a coordinated fashion to provide a patient’s medical, behavioral and health education needs. With all the coming and going via the nearby I-35, I-635, I-29, US 169 and Missouri Highway 9, the new parking lot is sure to get plenty of use.

The parking lot refresh theme continues at Windmill Square, 7379 W 97th Street in Overland Park. Balancing tenant and customer access with project efficiency, the parking lot of the nearly 50,000-square-foot has been completely renovated. While a building’s façade is what catches the eye, a parking lot is the customer’s first experience with a center and Curry intends it to be a good one. The fountain at Windmill Square, located in the courtyard between the Windmill Sewing Center and Discourse Brewing also received a makeover.

Parking lot work also is ahead for the Shops at Kendallwood on NE Antioch Road in Gladstone as Curry makes plans to refurbish that pavement as well.

On the residential side, new decks and exterior paint have gone in at our Miller Street Apartments in Liberty.  A small, two-story property with just 12 apartments, Miller Street’s one- and two-bedroom residences are walking distance to restaurants, shops and William Jewell College.

We are excited to complete these and other property improvements as we continue our work to be good stewards of these assets.
