Kearney Commercial Shopping Center Gets a New Look.

by Suzanne Licata

Built in 1975 and acquired by Curry in 1996, the real estate services firm recently completed a full exterior renovation of the more than 35,000-square-foot center in Kearney, Missouri, which is about 20 miles north of Kansas City on I-35.

“Curry is well aware that a primary focus of retailers to drive value is enhancing the customer experience,” said Ellen Todd, Curry president and CEO. “Kearney Commercial’s recently completed façade renovation, the addition of planters and planned seating work together with what each tenant is doing to draw customers and keep them coming back.”

Todd added that retail industry data shows customer interest in going to brick and mortar locations is on the increase, proving their resilience as a link between e-commerce and the consumer. “We’re proud of the strong performance of this and all the other properties in our portfolio,” she added.
