Cindi Daniels Celebrates 30 Years with Curry

by Suzanne Licata

Curry Real Estate Services just celebrated Cindi Daniels 30 years (wow!) with the company. The oldest of five, she grew up in Cold Water, Kansas, and later lived in Denver, working in property management, and in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, where she owned a restaurant, before coming to the Kansas City area to be closer to family.

Daniels was living at Brookridge Country Club Apartments in Overland Park and working in promotional advertising when the apartment’s then property manager asked if she would ever entertain the idea of managing a property like Brookridge. Daniels apparently did give that some thoughtful consideration as, three decades later, she still works and lives in this charming community.

“This is a community,” Daniels said. “Our residents help each other do different things and enjoy being together at the spring and summer get togethers we host. We have quite a few long-time residents and many who live here refer their friends and acquaintances to make this their home because the people and the place both are just so great.”

Daniels said one of the many attractions to the 68-apartment community is its location. Adjacent to the former Brookridge golf course, the property is pet-friendly, runs alongside the redesigned back nine, is quiet and secluded with mature landscaping, a beautiful swimming pool and an inviting picnic area.

As a property manager, she said her favorite thing is that every day is different, often requiring her to be quick, agile and persistent in her problem solving.

“I’m a people person,” Daniels said. “You have to be empathetic, tenacious and a creative problem solver. We have a good group of residents at Brookridge so we always find our way to a solution.”

When not working, Daniels likes to exercise, read, travel and learn new things – like pickle ball – “It’s a great way to meet new people.” She recently adopted a rescue dog, Tula, who joins Gracie, a rescue cat, in their household.

As a Brookridge resident, Daniels also appreciates Brookridge as her home. “My apartment overlooks the golf course, beautiful flowering plants and a water fountain,” she said. “It’s really peaceful.”
