Curry’s Dan Sweeney Earns CPM® Designation

by Suzanne Licata

Dan Sweeney, vice president/commercial for Curry Real Estate Services, recently earned the CPM® (Certified Property Manager) designation issued by the Institute of Real Estate Management or, IREM.

The National Association of Realtors reports that it takes a minimum of one year to complete all requirements and that is because there are eight courses to complete – from ethics to asset analysis – capped by intensive prep for two, four-hour exams.

Earning the CPM designation addresses both Curry’s and the industry’s standard for professionalism. This commitment to learning and applying best practices in critical functions such as customer service, maintenance and operations, financial management and ethical practices helps ensure we meet the highest expectations for tenant satisfaction in very well maintained environments.

There is rigor to achieving this professional certification. It is hard work and it should be if your goal is excellence. That is what Sweeney’s CPM designation is – a standard of excellence.

He joined Curry in 2020 as a broker and property manager in the commercial division and was promoted to vice president in 2022. He is a licensed REALTOR® in Missouri and Kansas, a member of the Building Owners and Managers Association of Metropolitan Kansas City (BOMA) and of IREM Kansas City Chapter.

Sweeney is now one of four Curry team members with the CPM designation.
