Professional Development Super Stars

by Suzanne Licata

Professional development is a priority for Curry Real Estate and our team continues to thrive in this area. We are so proud of Matt Pepper and Heather Jordan for the completion of two great milestones.

Matt Pepper

Congratulations to Matt Pepper on earning the CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) designation! Matt successfully passed the final exam this past week in Seattle, WA during CCIM’s Annual Governance Meetings and Conference. This was a two-year process which included educational courses, a portfolio of qualifying experience, and a comprehensive exam. He becomes only the second person from the company to achieve this distinction, joining Ellen Todd, President of Curry Real Estate Services.

“This is a grueling process and takes extensive time and studying to achieve, I am so proud and excited for Matt to have completed this process and for the value it brings to our Curry team and to the clients and customers that we serve,” said Ellen Todd.

A CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) is a recognized expert in the commercial and investment real estate industry. This elite group includes brokers, leasing professionals, investment counselors, asset managers, appraisers, corporate real estate executives, property managers, developers, institutional investors, commercial lenders, attorneys, bankers, and other allied professionals.

Heather Jordan

Way to go! Heather Jordan has earned the CPM (Certified Property Management) designation! Heather completed her fourteenth and final class and took the exam last week. There was a glitch in the technology during the exam, and the proctor had to pause her test for a period of time. Heather was able to refocus and pick back up to complete the test within the four hour time-frame. Just another example of how she’s able to put additional stress aside to get the job done!

This international certification required her to take and complete courses in Ethics, Managing people, Analysis of Investment Real Estate, Budgeting, Financing along with many others. “Heather was able to take all the required classes, study and take the exam while continuing to keep her normal responsibilities humming along. Said Ellen Todd, President of Curry Real Estate Services, I’m so proud of her and her hard work and for the value all of this professional development brings to our Curry team and those we serve.”
